Privacy Notice

Effective date: July 20, 2025

Our commitment. gohspy is designed with minimal data collection in mind. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

1. Who We Are

GoHspy ("we", "us", "our") operates the gohspy platform — a public social media monitoring and sales intelligence service accessible at gohspy.com. If you have questions about this notice, contact us at: privacy@gohspy.com

2. Data We Collect About You

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, business name, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign up via a social login, we receive only the scopes you explicitly authorize.

Billing Information: Payments are processed by Paddle, our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive a customer identifier and subscription status from Paddle.

Configuration Data: We store the keywords, group URLs, and business context you configure so we can run monitoring on your behalf. This data is used solely to operate the Service for you.

Usage Data: We collect standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes.

3. Public Data We Monitor

As part of operating the Service, our systems access publicly available posts on social media platforms. This monitored data:

  • Is already publicly visible to any person without an account on the respective platform
  • Is accessed via official platform APIs wherever available
  • Typically contains only public usernames, post text, timestamps, and aggregate engagement counts
  • Does not include private messages, email addresses, phone numbers, or any private profile information
  • Is processed to extract commercial intent signals, not to profile individuals

We are a business-to-business tool. Our purpose is to help companies identify commercially relevant public conversations, not to track, profile, or surveil private individuals.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining the Service
  • Processing payments and managing your subscription
  • Sending transactional emails (account creation, billing receipts, important notices)
  • Debugging, security monitoring, and preventing fraud
  • Improving the accuracy of our AI qualification models (aggregated, anonymized analysis only)

We do not use your data for advertising, third-party marketing, or behavioral profiling.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Paddle (payment processing) — governed by Paddle's own privacy policy
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers operating under data processing agreements
  • Law enforcement or government bodies where legally required

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active plus a 30-day grace period after deletion. Monitored post data is retained for up to 90 days and then purged from our systems. Billing records are retained as required by applicable law (typically 7 years).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@gohspy.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use a minimal set of technically necessary session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, and access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated notice.
